The Irish Book Review LogoThe Irish Book Review is a resource dedicated to bringing the United States up to date information and reviews of the latest and bestselling books from Ireland.

Irish publishing has long been respected for top quality content and great stories, however, due to the difficulties in promotion, news of many of these new books never reach an American audience.

Founder

Liam MoroneyThe Irish Book Review was founded by Liam Moroney, a former employee of three of Ireland's leading publishing houses; Gill & Macmillan, The O'Brien Press and Mercier Press. Originally from Cork, Liam was relocated to New York to handle the international marketing and US distribution for the publishers. Currently based in their US distributor, The James Trading Group, Liam continues to play an important role in the distribution of books to the United States. According to Liam, "I started The Irish Book Review because, while there is a clear demand for high quality Irish books on true Irish interest topics, there is little awareness, and virtually no access to this information, and the US market deserves better than that."

The Irish Book Review is NOT a bookshop, but instead a resource, for those interested in Irish published literature to find the latest and bestselling books that have previously gone without publicity in the United States. Too many great Irish topics go unnoticed in the United States, and the Irish Book Review aims to change this.

Relationships

The Irish Book Review maintains a close relationship with the Irish publishing houses, ensuring that any books featured on this site can be purchased in the United States. Using its relationship with the US distributor, it can ensure that demand for books that are not currently available can be passed onto the distributor, and this demand met.

Reviews

While the Irish Book Review aims to keep its readers aware of the latest and bestselling titles from Ireland, it is by no means simply an advertisement for these titles. Above all else, its first priority is the reader. This is why the Irish Book Review has begun the process of providing reviews of many of the latest books, to give you a better idea, and find the right book for you.
